Description
An illustrated catalogue chronicling four decades of Porsche excellence. In two volumes to tell the story of Porsche, with a complete overview of the cars produced up to 1986 (road and racing cars, prototypes).
As in the other titles of the successful series of Catalogues Raisonnés, published by Automobilia, the first part of the work is dedicated to the history of the car manufacturer, treated in a comprehensive and detailed way, with hundreds of archive images in b/w and a gallery of colour photos.
The catalogue raisonné inside the work shows the main and most significant models of Porsche production, ordered chronologically and illustrated with one or more pictures. The brief history that accompanies each data sheet has the task of setting the car in the context of Porsche’s development.
Text in Italian, English, French. Essential for Porsche collectors and marque historians.
The slip case of this edition is scruffy with some repair to bottom of box. The two volumes are generally in good condition with good dust covers, albeit with some small marks and scuffs in places. Volume one has some slight looseness to front cover spine but is otherwise fully intact. Priced accordingly offering an opportunity to pick up an extensive very readable volume at a much lower price than seems to be offered elsewhere.
