Description

Spanning 214 pages with chapters covering the sport car realm in sections with two forwards by W.O. Bentley for the first three chapters covering the outline of sports car development. Bentley being the chief architect behind Bentley Motors before purchase by Rolls Royce and consultant engineer later on.

There is a specifications section at the end of the 3rd chapter.

The fourth segment is titled sports car racing and as expected various venues are covered in detail such as Le Mans 24 hours, Tourist Trophy, Mille Miglia, Targa Florio and Nurburgring which at the time had the clumsy title of  Internationales ADAC 1,000 kilometers.  Florida’s Sebring Endurance race is covered as well which is interesting as it was a relatively new event time wise.

First edition hardback. Interior very clean and fresh for age. Dust jacket has some marks and scuffs to corners and some minor tears to spine.
