Description
This book is devoted to the magnificent cars produced by Ettore and Jean Bugatti in the French town of Molsheim. It concentrates on the history of the company: the cars, the personalities and the competition successes. It begins with the early days and includes the Types 10 and 13 and Brescia, followed by the great Bugatti tourers like the splendid Types 44 and 49. Next come the outstanding racing cars that established Bugatti’s reputation as one of the finest and most successful constructors of sports vehicles. Among the cars illustrated here are the wonderful Types 35, 37 and 59, together with a selection of contemporary action photographs. The final two chapters cover the Grand Sport Bugattis (the Types 45 and 55) and the really luxurious touring cars including the monster Type 41 Royale and culminating in perhaps the most refined and successful Bugatti of them all, the unique Type 57 of 1934-39.
