Description
Large size, beautifully illustrated book.
The author notes: “I have tried to give (this book) a geographical pattern, to aid the reader’s route through motoring history. That history has taken place almost entirely in the European and North American continents, with France claiming the majority of “firsts”. I have therefore chosen to “travel” around Europe anti-clockwise, starting in France and ending in Britain, before crossing the Atlantic to conclude each chapter in the USA. Only at the beginning of the first chapter, which deals with the pre-motor era, does the sequence vary. The journey begins in earnest at the turn of the century.”
Hardback in very good condition for age, with good self cover.
