This is the earliest of the Aston series of soft cover A 5 booklets on motor racing.

Written by Denis Jenkinson back in 1987 it covers racing cars from all ages each with photographs and a lot of good detail information. He also used this book to comment on chassis numbers though more modern research means that certain details need to be checked.

However if you want to know what the Semmence Special was all about it is here, as are details of the Gulf-Miller, Lancia D50, Vanwall, Maserati 250F. Jenkinson also lists his own classification of what is a replica, a reconstruction etc.
