Description
Ecurie Ecosse is recognised worldwide as one of the most successful private sports car racing teams ever. This book explores the reasons, both probable and possible, not only for the team’s rise to prominence, but also its inexorable decline.
Story of the legendary team which by 1962 had entered 125 race meetings, securing 68 first places, 43 seconds and 39 thirds. Among those first places were two magnificent victories in the Le Mans 24-Hour Race. Highlights of the book (which is written by the award-winning Scottish author Eric Dymock) are the exploits of Jackie Stewart , Jim Clark and others, racing XKs and C-Types, as well as all those memorable victiories.
