250 page history of the first significant series of motor races at the turn of the 20th century, founded by the titular media mogul (who also sponsored similar air and yachting contests) the events ran yearly with increasing importance , winners included SF Edge for Napier and Camile Janetzy for Mercedes, who’s victory in the 1903 event in Ireland helped motor racing to continue only weeks after the fatality strewn Paris-Madrid event had been abandoned.
