A first translated English edition of this work, originally published in Italian in 1979. The Mille Miglia was an open-road motorsport race which was staged twenty four times on the roads of central Italy from 1927 to 1957.

This volume explores the fast paced history of this race and is written by Giovanni Lurani who was involved in all the details of the race since its beginnings. Richly illustrated throughout.

Hardback in very good condition, red boards unmarked and inside clean and bright. Ex-library so some stickers, seems lighlty read – some looseness to spine but al lpages intact.  Dust jacket also good. Priced accordingly.
