1956 edition of this well regarded book. This book is the study of grand prix racing with a vast amount of information obtained first-hand at Mercedes-Benz where the author, George Monkhouse, was given access to the racing department at Stuttgart. This is a copy of the December 1956 reprint of 1948 edition which contains an additional chapter, three revised chapters, updated Grand Prix results to 1939 and a new collection of photographs.
