Description
1937 first edition. Wonderful original survey of the aces of motor racing in the early/mid 30s from the likes of Caracciola and Nuvolari to Sir Malcolm Campbell and the author’s good friend Richard Seaman.
Each driver has at least one excellent photo by the author (most are candid paddock atmosphere or track action shots) and the whole book is jammed full of great images from the Silver Arrows era of Mercedes, Auto Union, Alfa Romeo & Bugatti.
Slight foxing to inside pages in places, but otherwise a good copy of an iconic book. Outer blue boards good, with dust jacket, some tears and losses in places to front and back – now in protective clear cover. Scarce.
