Ever since 1979, when the fourth and final edition of Rolls-Royce: The Elegance Continues went out of print, the demand for copies continued.

Rather than reprint again, a new book was planned, to include more data in the form of listings of all coachbuilt Rolls-Royce, up to and including the Phantom V.
These lists, culled from the Rolls-Royce material now held by the Rolls-Royce Enthusiasts Club at Paulerspury, Northamptonshire, include all Silver Wraith, Phantom IV and Phantom V chassis and many Silver Dawn and Silver Cloud I, Il and III chassis. They are invaluable to the enthusiast who wants to know if the body on a particular chassis is what it is claimed to be, its date, first owner, etc.

Over five hundred illustrations cover practically every different body mounted on post-war Rolls-Royce up to 1986, including interiors and coachbuilders’ drawings.
