Description
Owen John of ‘Autocar Magazine’ was the Literary name of Owen Llewellyn who wrote some lovely Travel Books in the Pre and Post 1st WW1 era and used the services of his friend and artist L. Raven-Hill to illustrate those and this title, containing 83 illustrations including 30 art plates.
The book covers his memories of the pioneer days in a very enjoyable and light manner, ably supported by the cartoons and caricatures of L.R-H.
Book in excellent condition for age. Dark red cloth boards with gilt titles to front and spine. A few light marks on boards and slight bumping and scuffing to corners. Inside, browning to inside blank cover page, very light foxing to couple of early pages otherwise very clean and well bound. Nice example.
