Extremely scarce book, originally printed with the American market in mind. A comprehensive reference guide that provides a wealth of information for both the novice and the experienced motorist. The book covers a wide range of topics, including the history of the automobile, types of cars, their maintenance, and repair. All topics are covered in a clear, straightforward and practical manner.

First edition 1905 hardback in fair/good good condition for age. Red boards have gilt lettering and black line drawing to front, gilt title to spine. Boards are a little grubby in places, some bumping to corners, spine has some sunning and hass some minor loss to top/bottom of spine, spine edges are a little loose and scruffy. Inside however is very clean throughout, bar some very slight foxing in places, stamp on inside cover indicates that it was originally in the library of C Posthumus (presumably Cyril, well known motoring writer). No dust jacket.
