A biography of John Rhodes Cobb a British Motor racing driver and holder of many speed records. Cobb died tragically in 1952, while trying to improve the water speed record on Loch Ness. John Rhodes Cobb (2 December 1899 29 September 1952) was an early to mid 20th Century English racing motorist. He was three times holder of the World Land Speed Record, in 1938, 1939 and 1947, set at Bonneville Speedway in Utah, U.S.A. He was awarded the Segrave Trophy in 1947.

First edition. Hardback in good condition. A really good clean copy. Dust jacket complete, extremely clean and with only minimal scuffing. Some sunning to spine.  Rare, especially in this condition.
