Description

Limited Edition of 600 copies 8vo, 63pp, frontispiece illustration from a painting by Paul Gervais.

A very early, finely printed essay on automotive travel, first published in Motor Magazine. Young was a prominent journalist and early motor enthusiast. A day’s journey on a motor-car is not merely a piece of travel across the spaces of geography; it is often a voyage through the life and history of the land.

For a good motor-car does not desecrate a good road, but is the crown of it.

Hardback is in fair condition for age, outside grey boards have scufffs and bumping and some loss, especially to corners. White spine a little grubby. Inside some browning to blank intro pages and a old water marks to a couple of pages including illustration page but not afffecting image, otherwise very clean and well bound. Scarce but priced based on condition.
