A very early, finely printed essay on automotive travel, first published in Motor Magazine. Young was a prominent journalist and early motor enthusiast. A day’s journey on a motor-car is not merely a piece of travel across the spaces of geography; it is often a voyage through the life and history of the land.
For a good motor-car does not desecrate a good road, but is the crown of it.
