Subtitled “Thrilling True Tales of the Cycle and Automobile Industry”, printed by Herbert Clarke, Paris, bound as a single volume with hard brown covers and brown leather ribbed spine with gilt tooling, signed by the author in blue ink to title page and hand numbered.

The author was the Director General of De Dion Bouton (car manufacturers) in France and president of the London branch. He participated in the London-to Brighton in 1896 and published other periodicals and contributed to many others.

A fascinating exploration of the development of the motor car from the early development of the wheel.

Hardback in very good condition for age, some rubbing and bumping to corners but otherwise relatively unmarked.

Dust jacket is a rare addition, in good condition for age, some small stains and tears to corners with small losses but all intact.

An extremely rare opportunity to own a fabulous early book on the subject.
