1959 first edition with illustrations by J E McConnell. Carlotti is a boy of mixed parentage who saves Mike from a smash and eventually gets an opportunity to demonstrate his talent for driving.

Hardback in excellent condition, bar some minor foxing to inside cover and some edges. Dust jacket also very good, very slight sunning to spine.

Very nice copy of this iconic book.
