As early as 1895, city-to-city motor racing allowed the first builders to compete, but it was not until 1900 and Gordon Bennett had come to see official regulated events. During the first fifteen years of the 20th century, this sport won nobility and great popularity.

The spectators of the Belle Epoque see more and more efficient and fast machines on the roads of France engaging in fierce struggles on all terrains. What could be better than the old postcards collected with passion by Jean-Pierre Rigouard to make us relive the great “Classics”?
