A bound compilation of the early British weekly motoring magazine founded and edited by the Hon. John Scott Montagu, MP (later the 2nd Baron Montagu of Beaulieu).

Launched on May 28, 1902, this high-quality, lavishly illustrated periodical is highly regarded by automotive historians and collectors as one of the premier primary sources from the dawn of the motoring era.

John Scott Montagu was one of Britain’s most prominent early automotive pioneers. He famously drove the first car into the House of Commons yard in 1899. His son, Edward (the 3rd Baron), used his father’s collection—starting with a 1903 De Dion Bouton—to establish what is now the world-famous National Motor Museum at Beaulieu.

Hardback in generally good condition considering its age. Green boards with beautiful gilt lettering to front and spine. Some bumping to corners and top and bottom of spines. Inside very clean.

Great example of a rare publication.
