Talbot is one of the most prestigious car brands, a symbol of luxurious and fast cars.
Until now, his story was little known. Indeed, for the English it is a British brand, while the French are still convinced that Talbot is a purely national issue…
In fact, Talbot was once French, once English. This story jumps perpetually from one side of the English Channel to the other.
A story full of extraordinary and colourful characters, such as the rich Duke of Shrewsbury, who created the brand to please his son, the young count; the Breton Louis Coatalen, who presided over the destiny of three English factories; the runner Henry Seagrave, baptised “the fastest man in the world, Louis Coatelen who won the 24 hours le Mans of 1950; and finally Anthony Lago, called the “Major”, who during the fifties, made his blue cars reign in all European circuits.
With the rebirth of the brand, the book acquires a particular interest.
It is an indispensable link in the industrial history of the twentieth century.
Hardback in generally good condition for age. Dust cover a little scruffy with small marks and tears in places.
