Description

A compelling account of Grand Prix Automobile Racing from 1959-1963.

It was an era of daring, dashing drivers piloting incredibly powerful race cars around fast and legendary circuits with only primitive safety equipment to spare them from disaster.

The book includes sections covering the drivers, cars, factories; practice sessions, race day and, inevitably, accidents. Robert Daley’s background made him perfect to be the Grand Prix’s storyteller.

First edition hardback in good condition for age. Some minor marks to boards and light bumping to corners and spine ends. Dust jacket clean and bright, light scuffs to edges and small scuffs/tears to corners. Small loss to inside front panel, not affecting content. Scarce.
